History

One Fine Day Weddings & Events, originally named Weddings and Events Coordinating, has been helping clients since 2000 when Danielle Spann established her business in Arlington, Texas. She began assisting in wedding planning for friends as a hobby and continued offering her planning services while she attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. After graduating from Texas Tech with a Bachelors degree she continued her event coordinating education to become a certified wedding and event planner.
In 2004 Danielle married and moved to Denmark for almost 2 years with her husband Michael. Michael was finishing his Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering through a duel degree program from Texas Tech University and the Denmark Technical University in Copenhagen, Denmark. While overseas Danielle created a website for her event business, but decided that DMHasting Weddings and Events Coordinating was too long of a name for people to remember.
“I wanted something cute and catchy like most businesses, but I also wanted it to be something that had a special meaning. I was looking through photos of high school while I was scrap-booking and came across some old Harmony show choir photos from one of our first performances. We did a cute dance routine to the song “One Fine Day” by The Chiffons and had 8x10 pictures of Tom Cruise that we all danced around with. At the end we turned the photos around and it made a big picture of Tom Cruise. It is kind of cheesy, but the song stuck with me the rest of that day.”
In April of 2006, Danielle moved back to her home state of Texas and re-established her business working out of her home office in Plano. Danielle’s goal as an event planner and director is to create that "one fine day” that sticks with you and is a happy memory to take with you in your travels.
